Dianica - The Witches' Rune

The Witches' Rune (Nydhu's version)

Darksome night and shining moon,
Hearken to the Witches' rune.
East and south and west and north,
Hear and come! I call thee forth!

Cup and Censor, Wand and Knife,
Waken all ye into life.
Powers of the Witches' blade,
Come ye as the charge is made.

Queen of heaven, Queen of earth,
Send your aid unto my hearth.
Horned huntress of the night,
Work my will by magic rite.

By all power of land and sea,
As I say, so mote it be.
By all might of moon and sun,
As I will, it shall be done.

The Witches' Rune (Traditional)

Darksome night and shining moon,
Hearken to the Witches' rune.
East and south and west and north,
Hear and come! I call thee forth!

By all power of land and sea,
Be obedient unto me.
Pentacle and wand and sword,
Hearken ye unto my word.

Cord and Censor, Staff and Knife,
Waken all ye into life.
Powers of the Witches' blade,
Come ye as the charge is made.

Queen of heaven, Queen of earth,
Send your aid unto my hearth.
Horned huntress of the night,
Work my will by magic rite.

By all power of land and sea,
As I say, so mote it be.
By all might of moon and sun,
As I will, it shall be done.
